Interested in Playing Club Lacrosse or Have a Friend Who May Want to Join In?
Midwestern Force and Southern Storm Lacrosse start enrollment for the upcoming season in early September. September and October deposits will insure successful entry into the Elite level programs for the June, 2018 start and the athlete will jump right into practices ASAP based on their availability. After November 1st, all athletes who have not successfully deposited will go to a wait list if applicable teams are full. The Club Season runs June thru January of the upcoming year. There are also opportunities to participate in the current year’s Fall/Winter season tournaments as available from a wait list and paying for just those events. Girls from first grade thru High School Seniors are welcome to join!! The emphasis is on development, so there are NO CUTS, but is there is evaluation for placement on the optional travel teams. Our new format hosts two highly competitive teams per Year of Graduation. Classes of 2019 and 2020 may play with up to three teams until they graduate providing those members have registered in the early registration period otherwise we will carry only the two squads per Year of Graduation. Any player hoping to come on board by their Freshmen year of will most likely have to gain admission thru a wait list for the Elite squad applicable to their year. Choosing a club is an important process and educating yourself on what every group offers is a very necessary step. By following the crowd and not doing the necessary homework, it will potentially put you a year behind your peers in development and potential recruiting opportunities. MFL has a dedication to each and every one of its players and believes in instilling a strong work ethic and a discipline in its players for a culture of success. Many think that you need to play in college to play for MFL but that is false because in order to create a great player you have to teach as if they were to play on. If they choose not to then that is totally fine. We however average any where from 85%-99% each year that do and most on financial packages.
Midwestern Force/Southern Storm Membership
2018/2019 Season (Begins June 8and players can start practicing and play in potential Fall tournaments based on availability)
MFL is open to any female player entering the 1st thru 11th grade. We offer practices in areas where membership exists and help girls take their game to the next level through a variety of instructional and competitive playing opportunities. Our goal is to provide players the opportunity to improve their skills by holding regular clinics/practices led by skilled and dedicated instructors and by competing at elite regional and national events.
The Force is composed of players primarily from Ohio, but we also see a contingent of players from Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky. All clubs play competitively under this clubs umbrella and their players are trained locally under their regional club.
Southern Storm Lacrosse (SSL) includes players from Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia and is the sister club of MFL. Each group practices in their region and will compete under the MFL banner. All groups train off as master plan that are written and executed by college coaches in the player’s area.
If learning new skills, traveling new places, making new friends, learning to be disciplined, gaining confidence and being the best you can be is what you want out of your lacrosse experience then MFL is for you!
